Laval, Quebec ( April 2, 2012) -- Embrionix Design today announced it has reached a broadcast milestone with the introduction of the industry’s first monitoring focused emPROBE SFP. The emPROBE series allows Embrionix customers to diagnose and monitor, both visually and statistically, every input and output in your product platform.
Embrionix emPROBE series modules support IOD Technology (Interrogation–On–Demand) for non-intrusive signal integrity monitoring. IOD Technology provides multiple levels of statistical and analytic measurements, from high level SMPTE compliance verification, to specific tolerance values. The flexibility of the emSFP allows you to deploy this technology in any broadcast or media facility or network topology, providing a truly flexible and powerful solution for signal monitoring.
The Embrionix Monitoring-based SFP (emPROBE) series will be released first for the video industry, with telecommunication as the second phase. “We know SFP stands for Small Form-factor Pluggable but Embrionix is taking it to the next level of Simple Flexible Processing!”, said Allan Delaurier of Harris Broadcast - Product Manager for Transport Solutions & Control and Monitoring.
Embrionix provides a new approach in the product interface market for broadcast manufacturers. Embrionix designs and builds innovative, advanced SFPs to close the gap between fiber optic deployments, coaxial deployments, and emerging technology deployments, such as HDMI, composite video, Ethernet, etc... By leveraging its core competencies in video broadcast, the company provides SFP modules (emSFP) with the highest level of flexibility to major broadcasters in the industry. The company is based in Laval, Canada, and has global design, research and development, and sales offices located in Canada, California, United Kingdom and Japan.
