CVBS generation 2 decoder SFP (CVBS dual receivers SFP generation 2)

Laval, Quebec (April 6th 2015) — In completion of its extensive portfolio (24G-SDI, 12G-SDI (4K ST2082-1 & ST2082-2), SDI-to-IP J2K converter) Embrionix is launching a new generation of the dual NTSC/PAL converter which is now capable of doing conversion with broadcast quality enabling customers to support legacy signals (camera, players, old equipment) in a fast pace evolving market.

“The new products of our customer now have to support fiber SFP for the 4K speed grade and IP connectivity thus they can support our new converters as well. Manufacturers don’t have the time to integrate legacy inputs which can now be simply supported by the addition of a CVBS converter”, said Sarkis Abrahamian, VP Business development at Embrionix.

The CVBS converter emSFP is perfectly tailored for emerging markets which have more legacy equipment to support. It allows them to leap frog into newer platform without getting rid of their current infrastructure backbone.
This emSFP can also alleviate any sync requirement by recovering sync signal (black burst) of the studio to enable equipment to genlock.

“Our customers can get ahead of their competition by using our J2K SFPs to get their products to market faster and be completely SMPTE compliant right out of the gate,” said Renaud Lavoie, CEO of Embrionix. Broadcasters can now integrate this technology into all of their current SDI and IP products without a major cost investment.
“This product is at the essence of Embrionix philosophy which is to enable customers to have access to a full range of I/O with a simple SFP cage. We had requests from customers to deliver a broadcast quality with jitter cleaner composite converter to help their team focusing on their core business”, added Abrahamian.

Embrionix will be in the North hall, booth N1617, located within the Connected Media IP pavilion. As well, Embrionix will have a presence at more than 40+ booths at NAB this year, demonstrating the flexibility and possibilities around our SFP and emSFP modules.
