Renaud Lavoie has been the CEO of Embrionix since 2009 and sits on the company's Board of Directors.
Prior to founding Embrionix Design in 2009 he founded Brioconcept, a service company and was responsible for establishing the company as a leader in high speed consulting.
Renaud has since been focused full time on leading Embrionix and is responsible for the company's overall management, sales and support activities in all markets and countries.
Prior to founding Brioconcept and Embrionix, Renaud was employed at Miranda Technologies as a senior product developer. With the multiviewer team, he successfully developed the Kaleido 2, Kaleido X multiviewer and Kaleido X16.
André Lafontaine is chief financial officer at Embrionix, reporting to CEO Renaud Lavoie. As CFO, André oversees the financial planning, analysis, accounting, treasury and investor relations.
Prior to joining Embrionix in 2010, André worked for several startup businesses.
He brings more than 25 years of experience to Embrionix leading finance groups in startups and global companies.
Sarkis Abrahamian is vice president of business development at Embrionix, reporting to CEO Renaud Lavoie. In this role, Sarkis is responsible for developing markets and new business opportunities for the company.
Sarkis joined Embrionix in 2011. Prior to coming on board, he was employed at Evertz in their Fiber Optics System division, increasing the revenue of this group by more than 20 times during the nine-year period he was with the company.
Denis Paré is vice president of sales, reporting to CEO Renaud Lavoie. In this role, Denis is responsible for all direct sales and reseller channels worldwide. He is also entrusted to grow strategic customer accounts and partner relationships in the broadcast market.
Denis brings a broad range of experience to the Embrionix sales team, including executive sales positions at Miranda Technologies and Grass Valley. He was also Director of Sales, Americas and more recently, Director of Strategic Accounts at Grass Valley. In addition, Denis has established distribution channels and driven revenue for Miranda at the start-up stage which was followed by a successful IPO.
Prior to joining Embrionix, Denis spent over 20 years in video broadcast industry.
Eric Dudemaine is vice president of research and development at Embrionix. Eric prides himself on building one of the most talented R&D teams in video broadcast. The team actively participates in the vision and decisions leading to innovation in different aspects of hardware design including UHD transport, video conversion and compression, and IP convergence products.
Eric co-founded Embrionix with Renaud in 2009. Prior to co-founding the company, Eric worked for more than 11 years for Miranda Technologies developing FPGA, firmware, hardware and system solutions for applications requiring audio, video, metadata, and high speed transport.
Louis Caron joined Embrionix as director, product management at Embrionix in January, 2016.
He previously served as product manager for Miranda Technologies and Grass Valley, a Belden brand, for a total of over 17 years.
At Embrionix, Louis is responsible for the company’s product go-to-market strategy.
Karine Belanger joined Embrionix in 2012. She is responsible for quality assurance and technical support, and ensures a seamless coordination with production, managing a team of QA technologists to ensure superior quality across all stages of the product life cycle. In this role, she is also responsible for liaising directly with clients on technical support and service.
Karine holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science as well as a Graduate Dimploma in Engineering Management.
Prior to coming onboard, Karine worked as a programmer (FPGA) at Kontron, ISR Technology and Nortel.
Roy Folkman joins Embrionix after twelve years at Miranda Technologies and Grass Valley, a Belden brand. He most recently held the position of strategic account manager serving major U.S. networks and station groups.
Roy's 20-year sales career includes positions with Major Technologies, Acura Technologies and Adcom Electronics. Prior to this he served for over twelve years in various technology-related positions including senior engineer at Rainmaker Digital Pictures and chief engineer at Post Haste Video.
Folkman is based outside of Toronto, Canada.
